FANS APLENTY turned out yesterday afternoon for the celebratory motorcade for the first ever Bashment Soca King Stiffy, who won the contest during the just concluded Crop Over Festival.

The motorcade, sponsored by Mount Gay Rum and Digicel, started at the Esso service station in Mile-and-a-Quarter, St Peter. It travelled through a number of St Peter communities and concluded at the East Coast Road in St Andrew.

A number of trucks and cars carrying fans of the calypsonian, whose real name is Shane Atkinson, were involved in the motorcade as Stiffy waved to fans on board a van driven by his mother, Antoinette Sandiford, as his hit song , Tek Off Something, was being played. (RL)
